About High Nestle

Calculators for kitchens, cabins and campsites high above the sea.

What it is

High Nestle has four free tools: a boiling point calculator, an air pressure and oxygen calculator, high-altitude baking adjustments and cooking times at altitude. They are for anyone who lives, cooks, camps or travels high up and wants to know what the thin air changes.

How it works

Every calculation runs in your browser. Air pressure comes from the U.S. Standard Atmosphere 1976; boiling points from the Antoine equation, checked against the IAPWS-IF97 standard for water and steam; baking and cooking adjustments from published USDA and university extension guidance. Each page shows its method and links to its sources, and our tests compare the results with the published tables.

What it is not

These are educational estimates for an average atmosphere. They are not medical advice about altitude sickness, and they do not replace tested recipes for home canning or a food thermometer.
